peterbuilt and friegtliner ain't got **** ona het.bet they got a hand in them though.Dealt with those big ****ers all the time.

one night rolling in we ended up on tampa in the south bound lane.remmeber its three going both ways.
six total.
so here we are done looking for bombs i'm in the lead rg cause we like it that way.heading home about 80 K so we can still look over the road.
cam operator tells me we got two convoys going north in the south bound lane.
thermals are ****in great.
so i'm in the middle lane and these two convoys splittt like the red sea. I open my eyes after the dive in between them and see a convoy of HETS screaming north on both sides and i'm going south. I think i would rather drive right into a kansas  tornado.
All i can say is that was pretty ****in intense.took about 12 minutes for us to pass thruogh those convoys.Long MFkers
I can honestly say iv'e never been so pumped up as i was after we broke through to open road as i was that night.

HETS ARE BIG ****IN SCARY TRUCKS AND I DON"T LIKE THAT FUNKY TRAILER EITHER

The HET is a pretty impressive machine. Newbies think you just get in and drive, well, that dog dont hunt. The trailer dances left and right, the cab is air ride, so a slight gust will blow you and your steering wheel off course. Your ass in the seat is about 8 feet off the ground. your mirrors suck, except the drivers side (they didnt come talk to HET drivers when they created this one) And its  a misnomer, thats not a ****in A/C unit on top of the cab, its a blower. Some units put in their own A/C units, but our CO wouldnt let us do it. It gets real hot in there, hot enough that you have to wear thick black gloves to touch anyting inside. You are talking about 210 degrees F, with the windows down going max speed.. As far as PMCS, well, if you did it by the book, it would take you about 2 hours, and when you greased the tits, it would take about 6 hours. Tire changing is easy, especially on the trailer. Its all hydraulics, and a good driver team can change a trailer tire in about 10 minutes. A tractor tire, weighing almost 500 poounds, is a little longer, unless you had a HEMMIT helping you lift that bugger into place.

Its a good truck. It did well over there after we worked the bugs out of it. It was also damn sturdy too. Truck took and RPG round in the hood, hit the air cleaner, detonated, and we had that truck up and running in about an hour. Drove to Cedar, replace the air cleaner and a few wires, and she was good to go. Bad thing, when they caught fire they went quick.

I was pulling off the highway on my way to Tillil on night after surviing Tampa's rough ass road, when I squished some sucker that got between my trailer and the guard rail. Those trailers track like those long ass fire trucks with the guy in the back, so when you turn left, the trailer swings right. Its  a cool system, but I bet that haji didnt think so.

I wish I had something to do with that Gorilla, but its more than likely the 778th KSNG. They brought back their equipment whereas we left our trucks in theater. Good thing, cause we drove those trucks to the max and they were basically all used up by the time we came home. Getting the brand new ones next month. Faster, better mileage and more driver friendly. I will post pics of them when I get finished training on them in June.

Side bar- going to Lewis to help out with the ROTC camp there in July. Should be fun. You guys get tagged for this too?
