I saw a picture of a modified HUMMER with a fold-down 12-shot Hellfire launcher fitted in the cargo bed of a HUMMER cargo truck.

The 2-man crew would hide it with the launcher erected to the vertical, trek on foot up to a mile from the launcher carrying a hand-held laser designator then hunker down and wait for juicy targets to show up.

Given enough suitable targets a good team could ripple launch the Hellfires at 5-second or intervals between launches and designate targets further away first and walk their way closer.

With the launcher being a mile away, the bad guys wouldn't have a clue as to where the launcher is or were the people using the designator are when multiple vehicle begin blowing sky high.

Too bad, it never got past the prototype stage.

Non-Line of Sight - Launch System; a joint US Army / US Navy (LCS Mission Module) Program:

The Non Line of Sight – Launch System (NLOS-LS) is a family of artillery missiles fired from a vertical launcher that can be deployed by ground or air assets throughout a theater and networked to quickly engage an enemy. Developed by the NetFires LLC, the NLOS-LS is designed to extend fire support beyond the range of gun-launched munitions, while adding capabilities not currently available using artillery.

The NetFires LLC is a partnership between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. The Precision Attack Missile (PAM), the Loitering Attack Missile (LAM) and an autonomous Container Launch Unit (CLU) comprise the NLOS-LS. Raytheon is developing the PAM, Lockheed Martin is developing the LAM and together they will produce the CLU.
