A few pics that were taken on the way back from a SAR out in Bermuda (700-900 miles out).  After we were cleared RTB, the cameras came out.  Just thought I would share, and Im bored.  I didnt know if I should put these in here or the "Aircraft" thread, but oh well.

Ya, there was a 270, and a 110 I think.  They were out there with us the whole time, or I should say we were out there with them the whole time.  Everyone but the stupid H-60 that cant actually do the "search", because of there endureance Bang head against wall problem, was searching all night.  Just kidding, someone has to come pick up the people we searched for 11 hours to find, and get the medals for it  Thumbs Up.

I think the "airdale" rep is not totally correct.  130 guys are much more "humble" than the helo guys.  Which is the way I prefer it.

Those are great shots , thanks. It always made me nervous flying in formations of any kind and I was getting a little anxious just looking at those great shots.

Peace,

i flew in a C-130 from iraq to Kuwait in 2004.

I would imagine 130 guys are humble......they're flying antiques!    ROTF ROTF

The one I flew in was built in 1962.  Holy crap, that's older then our 378's!

Flew in a C130 while in boot camp oct 1977, charlie company (honor guard) to march in a parade down in Alabama with the good Chief Burnaw leading us.  I also flew in a C130 from washington to Travers City to march in the cherry festival parade 1978 (drill team, Washington Honor Guard) while stationed in the Honor Guard in Washington (Alexandria Va). Nice smooth flight, a lot louder than the h-3's I later flew on.

Your absolutly right.  The 1500's we currently fly are 1973's and 74's if I remember right.  BUT... in about two months, we will be the proud owners of the "newest", and most modern 130's made (2001 I think).  And the only missionized version of it in the world (not 100% sure about that).  The new and improved HC-130J!  ForJack! ForJack! ForJack!  Also comeing with the lastest and greatest C-130 made to date, will be slanderd remarks like...  "Airsta E-City has J pride", and, "Gay Model" (J Model  Crazy).  And of course the new and improved, "Big J vomit comet".  Its gonna be a great time. Bang head against wall

There they are....at least three of the six. Ninja
