My avatar is the original patch from PSU-301, -302, & -303.

PSU-303 was the first PSU activated and deployed to Saudi Arabia in Sep '90.

For your ratings current specialty mark, the prototype PS and FI (firefighter) from 1979, when it was submitted to the uniform board for approval. Below is a sketch from WW2 through 1980? when the current mark was released. The bottom one is confirmed as the specialty mark for the reserve rating of COASTAL FORCEMAN from the early/mid 1960s.

The RESERVIST magazine has quite a selection on line of its past editions.

can anybody tell me what happened to psu alameda?did they ever have a badge or a pin.iwas stationed there in 63 and 64 and as far as i know we never had a patch or pin.would like to know a some of the history of psu alameda,as it was my favorite duty stations thanks.semper paratus

You're talking about the Port Safety Station that was on Government (now Coast Guard) Island?  That facility was replaced by a new 1 on Yerba Buena Island in the arly 70's - now part of Sector SF.
