Just found out one of Michael's step-granddaughters has joined the Navy. She's in DEP and is shipping out to Great Lakes on Jan 7.

She's a wild child in her early 20's....according to my son all of her tattoos will be covered but one small one on her wrist.....she will be a "airedale".....on the flight deck moving planes and such....he said she will be a "blue shirt" (he was a green)

The Navy is going to have it's work cut out............. ......

Deb, you and Michael will be surprised how much of the "wildness" she will leave behind starting January 7th.  Bootcamp and training takes a little dedication....probably  something she may be lacking now.....Just wait! Thumbs Up

My son was a wild child also....amazing what bootcamp did for him. Thumbs Up

I hope she does well....she needs something good for her, and needs to get away from her home situation. Her mother relies on her as a crutch, and her father (Michael's son in law) wants to control her every breath.

She had several scholarship offers for soccer, took probably the worst one, and dropped out after her first semester, and has never really stayed in school since. However, according to my son, she has a PhD in partying....it takes one to recognize it in another.

This could be the best thing for her.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....Devil Dog

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

Just tell her to keep her nose clean....VERY CLEAN...I have already watched 4 members get Administrative separation for PARTYING...two for Alcohol of which one of them was supplying the booze to an underage sailor who decided to drink on duty...two for popping positive...one 3 months before EOS of 20 years and one one month before EOS of 4 years...talk about royally screwing up your life...

OK Tink....you're right.....you can take the cowboy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the cowboy.....in some cases.

I think though, those that want to make a change are given a chance to do that, if their desire for change is sincere.  To thy own self be true.....or not.....lets go over to the Porpoise Club and PARTY ROTF
