Thanks for posting this Tim.  Being that I didn't know anything about him I decided to do a little digging. 
Here's his obit from the Ozark Spectator.

John Mitchell Gammill


Coast Guardsman CWO2 John Mitchell Gammill, 42, died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in Lower Keys Medical Center, Florida.

Born Sept. 11, 1966, at Germantown, Md., he was the son of William Price and Geraldine Hindman Gammill. He moved to Key West, Fla., in July of 2006 from Port Clinton, Ohio, where he served as weapons officer or “gunner” with Weapons Augmentation Team Key West. A dedicated member of the Coast Guard he was a member of both the Chief Warrant officer’s and Chief Petty Officer’s Association.

He is survived by his wife, Deeann Gammill of Key West, Fla.; three daughters, Jennifer Lee Gammill, Brandi Nichole Christian and Tanya Marie Christian, all of Key West, Fla.; two sons, Bruce Dylan Gammill of Atlanta, Ga., and James Alexander Christian of Key West, Fla.; parents, William Price and Geraldine Hindman Gammill of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Jeffrey Wade and Stewart Lee (Samantha) Gammill of Pataskala, Ohio, Steven Price (Janice) Gammill of Seabrook, Texas, and Clayton Eric (Jade) Gammill of Washington, D.C.; one niece, Rhiannon Elise Gammill of Austin, Texas, and one nephew, William Arawn Gammill of Denton, Texas, as well as a host of family and friends.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Highland Cemetery in Ozark. Burial was under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Good to hear from you, thanks for stopping buy to pay respect to a fellow Gunner.  Stop by the Porpoise Club in the Coast Guard Boards & I'll buy you a drink.  We'll tip a few ounces in honor of Mitch.
