Ongoing Prayer List For Deployed And Deploying Troops

Dear Lord,

As we approach Your throne of grace, we bring troubled hearts that are full of concern for our loved ones that are about to be deployed and have already deployed to the war zone.  Father we ask that you be with them, guard their footsteps, be with them as they rise up for each day's or night's duty and be with them as they sleep.  Help them Lord to understand their duty as an agent of human government.  Help them to have confidence and strength to carry out their duties that have been lawfully prescribed by those in leadership.  Father they are so dear to us.  As parents, spouses, children and siblings we feel a terrible emptiness as they leave to answer their country's call.  Secure their footing, make steady their aim and make certain their fire.  Bring them home to us safe and whole.

O God, I pray for our enemies.  I know that Your word instructs us to love and pray for our enemies, those that despitefully use us and hate us and Lord I know that our feelings in this respect lag far behind our faith.  Father guard our hearts against the poison of vengeance.  But in obedience to You, Father, we submit.

Lord, be with our Forumily.  Each of us have ties to one another, our hearts are bound together.  O God you know each heart.  There are many faiths represented here, but One God.  Father I know there are even those who do not believe, but I know that You will be with them also.  We love them Lord because they are a part of our family.  They have sacrificed much for their country.  In their own way they are seeking the Truth, the meaning to life.

Heavenly Father we ask for the peace that only You can give, the contentment that will carry us day by day.  Comfort us in our time of need.  Replace our worry with faith.  Help us to glorify and honor You.

For it is in the Name Above All Names we pray,
