Gorilla24D-

I saw in a post on here that you had been to Anaconda in Iraq.  Here's a pic to stir your memories.

When I left Anaconda they were refurbishing the indoor pool, just about completed a new MWR center next to DFAC 4 and were close to finishing DFAC 5.  The BK and Pizza Hur were open and a coffee place was getting set to open.   One of our guys was killed while building the deck there by the BK and Pizza Hut.  He was a carpenter working on it when a mortar round hit.

In the year I was there we put a lot of stuff in place to try to make things a little better for all you guys that were doing the REAL work.

Thanks for the Welcome Aboard.  I agree no direct shots on the Commander in Chief.  Everything else is on the table such as comments about the Deepwater program management, etc.

As stated in another thread, this is my check in post  \Smiley.  Censorship has taken over the mil.com boards.

yes it has.  i got suspended for questioning the judgement of retired admiral stillman (former program manager for deepwater).  it so happens that the moderator that was behind the suspension (name: nobodyaskemebut) finally came out and said he was a deepwater contractor in support of lockheed.  wonder why some are hyper-sensitive about anything said about deepwater.  another factor is that military.com is chaired by vince patton (former mcpo of the coast guard).  i wonder if outside forces (i.e. coast guard headquarters) don't contact military.com to get them to stop or at least hamper any negative postings with respect to Deepwater.

Hello everyone,  Evil

I heard good things about this site (like the toys), so here I am as a m-e-m-b-e-r. Wanted to see where all the thick-skinned crowd went. Nice to see vftb as the mod...I'm sure you'll let me know if I step out of line.  Hammer  But it's nice to see that one can bash anyone, except the CoC, which I'm sure chafes some.

Hans, if you do find fault with anything I post, I promise not to email you to death about how PC or censoring you are since it's not my site to moderate. I also promise not to assume you have the opposite political bias of what I am if I'm suspended.  Wink Just tell me what post it was, I'll salute, and not pout somewhere else that you "mod'ed" me.  New Smiley

Also, if any of the thick-skinned people object to my presence, I promise to follow the moderator's direction at all times without a peep. None. Zero. But since this is the adult board, there shouldn't be any peeps, right?  Wink

Now, since it seems we want gloves off more than gloves on, let me address you, Thadsboy,

When you say:

You got suspended by me, not nobodyaskedmebut. And the suspension was specifically for the following post over there on that other site:

Quote
I heard from my reliable source there are some emails where RADM Stillman admitting to knowing there were problems but appeared to ignore or totally discount them. Either it is gross negligence or a misconduct on his part.

I'll let that quote stand on it's own. Those that think doing that to anyone by name on a board anywhere, regardless of who they are, means you condone it being done to you or yours, by anyone. Is that the "adult" thing to do? That's an honorable, stand-up thing?

Thadsboy. Open a separate thread here if you'd like to continue with someone who can multi-task. And multi-tasking should not be confused with multi-threading.
