When we rotated home from Desert Storm, we flew back with a Coastie Unit. I don't recall their name or anything. We arrived stateside on April 19th, 1991. I was attached to HM-14 at the time.

Was it a PSU (Port Security Unit)??  That might narrow it down Thor.

I honestly don't know. I THINK they were out of New Jersey, though. Hell, I'm not even real sure on that.

If it was a group rotating out I'd guess it was a PSU.  Can someone who hasn't been out as long as I have tell me if the Guard still has ELD's, and if they do were they sent to Desert Storm??

Jeff, yeah, that's what I read, too. No, I'm sure of the date we flew back. April 19th, 1991. I do believe they got off the plane in NYC. Perhaps they were just a part of that unit. I did read where some people rotated in just before then. We had to hold at the airport because the Blue Angels had NAS Norfolk tied up for their practice. Having been deployed for seven months, we were anxious to get home.
