For our Chiefs .. we really do know who runs the Coast Guard ... This jokes for you.
THE BARBER SHOP AT GOVERNOR'S ISLAND
A Coast Guard Chief and an Admiral were sitting in the base barbershop. They were both just getting finished with their shaves, when the barbers reached for some after-shave to slap on their faces.
The Admiral blurted out, "Hey, don't put that stuff on me! My wife will think I've been in a whorehouse!"
The Chief turned to his barber and said, "Go ahead, you can splash some on me. My wife has no idea what the inside of a whorehouse smells like."
Now you know why the Chiefs run the guard, they're pretty damn smart!

After many years in the corporate world, and having worked with leaders of industry, I have to tell you that there are chiefs that I worked with that I respect a hell of a lot more. Hope you guys get a chance to party a little

THE GMCM and 3 Lieutenants
One day, a GMCM went to the Officer's Club with his C.O. to eat lunch. When they entered the main dining room, they found the place was quite crowded. They did notice three Lieutenants sitting at a table with two empty chairs, so the Commander asked them if they could join them, to which the Lieutenants replied, "Of course, please join us."
They ordered lunch and joined them in conversation as they ate. At one point, the Gunny mentioned that he had observed characteristics about many officers from which he could determine the sources of their commissioning. The Lieutenants were eager to hear about this and asked if he could tell how each of them had been commissioned.
The Gunny turned to the Lieutenant on his left and said he went through ROTC. The Lieutenant confirmed that was correct and asked how he had noted this. The Chief replied that the Lieutenant, through his conversation, seemed to have a strong academic background but limited experience in the Coast Guard.
The Gunny then turned to the Lieutenant on his right that he had gone through OCS with previous enlisted service. The Lieutenant confirmed that this was correct and also asked how he had determined this. The Master Chief said, again through his conversation, that the Lieutenant seemed to have a firm military background and a lot of common sense acquired from active duty.
The Lieutenant across the table from the Master Chief asked if he had determined his source of commission. The Gunny replied that the Lieutenant had graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Lieutenant stated that was correct and asked if he had noticed his high level of intelligence, precise military bearing, or other superior qualities he had acquired at the Academy. The Master Chief replied that it was none of these that led to his determination.
He had simply observed the Lieutenant's class ring while he was picking his nose at the table.
HAVE A GREAT DAY CHIEFS!

Buoy!
I resemble that remark!
Fellow chiefs... Happy Anniversary... and thanks for your past, present, and future service.
Best Wishes

Okay... since we're picking on O's... enjoyable past time I admit... here's one with a slight twist...
The Commanding Officer was welcoming a new Chief on board his vessel. Having reviewed the Chief's service jacket, the skipper mentioned to the Chief that he noticed he was married to a PO1 who was recently selected to attend OCS. The Chief acknowledged that was true.
The Skipper than said... you know Chief, you're lucky, you're going to get to do something in your home relationship that many Chiefs are expected to do in their work relationships with their JO's.
The Chief thought about it... and finally replied... Skipper, I understand that... but I'm a little confused, I thought we weren't suppose to admit we were "screwing JO's"!
As the Chief was being dismissed - the Skipper threw out as he departed - Chief, I had in mind training them and not in the way you referred too!
Moral of story... you're first answer is not always the right answer!
Best Wishes
